  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 sub rolls

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Form mixture into meatballs about 1.5 inches in diameter.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the meatballs on all sides for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Pour in BBQ sauce and simmer on low heat for another 5 minutes.
  5. Slice sub rolls lengthwise and toast at 375°F for about 5 minutes.
  6. Assemble subs by placing meatballs inside rolls and topping with shredded cheese.
  7. Optional: Return to the oven for a few more minutes until cheese is melted.
