  • 125 g unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 180 g plain flour (all-purpose)
  • 75 g dried cranberries (finely chopped)
  • For Orange Glaze: 120 g powdered icing sugar
  • 30 ml orange juice
  • 1 tsp unsalted butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine caster sugar and orange zest; rub together until fragrant.
  2. Cream softened butter and orange-infused sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in vanilla.
  3. Gradually add flour and cranberries while mixing on low speed until dough forms.
  4. Shape dough into a disc; chill if too sticky.
  5. Roll out dough to about 0.5 cm thick; cut shapes with cookie cutters.
  6. Chill cutouts for at least 30 minutes, then bake at 170°C (335°F) for 12-15 minutes until golden.
  7. For glaze, whisk icing sugar, orange juice, and melted butter until smooth; dip cooled cookies face-down.
