  • 1 cup heavy cream (for mousse)
  • 4 ounces dark chocolate (melted for mousse and ganache)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8-inch round cake pan.
  2. Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients alternating with buttermilk until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. For the raspberry mousse, puree raspberries with sugar, strain, then fold into whipped cream mixed with melted dark chocolate.
