  • 1 lb ground turkey (93% lean)
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped cilantro
  • 1 tsp chili powder for sauce
  • 1/2 tsp cumin for sauce
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika for sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste for sauce
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 4 leaves of lettuce
  • 1 small red onion, sliced
  • 4 burger buns

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground turkey and all spices until just mixed.
  2. Form into 4 patties and make an indentation in the center; refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Cook patties on medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes per side until 165°F internally.
  4. While cooking, mix sauce ingredients in a separate bowl.
  5. Toast burger buns until golden brown.
  6. Assemble burgers by spreading sauce on the bottom bun and layering in the patty and toppings.
